Summer Reading!

Are you bored out of your mind this summer? Well, read a book to take that vacation you can't afford this year!! Here are some great teen reads you should catch up on since you've read all of the new hit popular ones (which rachied still has to read since she's been catching up on the non popular ones :D )

Title: Bright Young Things
Author: Anna Godbersen
Rachied Rating: 3 stars
Now that The Luxe series is over Ms. Godbersen thought she should write another historical book. This one is about three girls, Letty, Cordelia, and Astrid, living in 1929 right before The Great Depression. Letty and Cordelia are best friends, and have been since they were little bitty. They decide to go on a train all the way to New York City in order for Letty to pursue her dreams as a singer, and Cordelia to find her long lost father. Astrid on the other hand is a famous young lady who is rich and famous. Her life consists of breaking all the young men hearts in New York. Can these girls live up to their dreams, or will they come crashing down with them? Find out by reading Bright Young Things!

Title: Matched
Author: Alyson Condie
Rachied Rating: 4 Stars
you may have already read Matched, it is very popular with the teen reads these couple of months. In fact!! I think Disney, or some other company, has already signed on to make Matched a movie! Anyways, Matched is about a society in the future where you are set up with everything. And I do mean everything! The job, your schedule, your soul mate, your death, your house, EVERYTHING! Then of course there's that one person who goes and falls in love with the wrong person and ends up causing a mad chaos for the whole town. Blah, blah, blah. I've read it before. The only reason why this book has four stars is because the technology in the book sounds super cool, and I like the guy the girl was suppose to fall in love with. The end. Boring. When the movie comes out I'm getting it on DVD. However, I will read the second one because I'm cool like that.
